Biotechnology and Biochemistry are at the forefront of key advancements in the living sciences. Biochemistry is the study of chemical processes taking place within living organisms while, biotechnology is the ultimate product of these discoveries, allowing the application of these biochemical processes for the development of useful solutions. Biochemistry and biotechnology are therefore intricately linked fields. A deep understanding of biochemical processes is essentially required before they can be applied towards development of useful technology, subsequently facilitating more biochemical discoveries.
