Our faculty at RLKU is committed to provide a unique blend of practical based and standardized quality pharmacy education to our prospective students. We at RLKU have an unparalleled infrastructure, a challenging, committed and dedicated competitive environment in which students’ talent and skills are nurtured to their absolute best. We are composed of one of the most talented and experienced faculty who have not just the academic skills but are also trained in the practical aspects of their relevant field(s). RLKU faculty offers students both a clinical and pharmaceutical based exposure. RLKU stands apart amongst very few other pharmacy colleges and universities which has a 650 bedded attached Arif Memorial Teaching Hospital and a 250 bedded Hameed Latif Hospital for practical and clinical training of Pharm.D. students.
We have a fully dedicated and furnished library with national and international books and journals for students to keep themselves abridged with the latest advances in pharmaceutical sciences. Our laboratories are installed with the latest equipment. Student-teacher relationship and liaison is maintained through their regular discussions and assessments with their respective mentors. Clinical ward rounds are conducted on a weekly basis to assess and develop their clinical skills. Clinical and pharmaceutical research projects are undertaken in their final professional year to develop and enhance their critical thinking and research skills. Transport and hostel facility is also available for the students.
RLKU’s Pharm.D. graduates will be fully equipped with the knowledge and skills required to be eligible to sit and score well in various national and international pharmacy competitive and registration exams, respectively. Their exposure at RLKU fully educate them to pursue various postgraduate research degrees, clinical certifications and highly paid careers. We develop and incur in our students the passion and motivation to stay abreast with the latest advances in the clinical pharmaceutical sciences to prepare them for the various challenges and opportunities to make them the best possible healthcare professionals in the region.
Welcome to the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Rashid Latif Khan University!
The RLKU Faculty of Pharmacy journey started in 2013 after the Rashid Latif College of Pharmacy was established under the umbrella of the Rashid Latif Medical Complex. The college was designed with the vision to provide high-quality pharmacy education to students, and within a short period of time just under a decade, the college has developed rapport in the industry, compiled a dedicated staff group, and an ever growing alumni of passionate pharmacists.
The college has made significant contributions to the Pakistani pharmaceutical community through presenting innovative ways to educate students and teach skills of pharmacy, with a focus on community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, industrial pharmacy, & pharmaceutical technology. Rapid progress has been made by the college in achieving its mission to strengthen, sustain and professionalize pharmaceutical knowledge through innovative research, and allied health professional teaching through integration with other branches of the Rashid Latif Medical Complex. It’s been a privilege to see the Rashid Latif College of Pharmacy constantly being ranked as one of the top pharmacy colleges in the country after only 9 years of operation, and it’s a true reflection of the excellent academic record of the college students.
With the same spirit in mind, the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Rashid Latif Khan University will aim to achieve a paralleled status of excellence. RLKU will offer both M. Phil and PhD programs, along with diploma programs, providing a diverse range of educational options to incoming students, and I personally wish each student who joins the RLKU Faculty of Pharmacy a bright and prosperous future in the pharmaceutical field.
