Our teachers stay up to date on the latest advancements in language and literature instruction, and ICT tools by actively participating in national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and faculty development programs; this ensures that students benefit from cutting-edge teaching strategies. In addition to short courses that promote students' general growth, we provide a wide choice of undergraduate and graduate programs with a focus on academic and professional skills, communication, and English language competency and hence, courses have been designed to give students the internationally required abilities to improve their language proficiency and prepare them for work in the global knowledge economy. Wi-Fi-enabled smart classrooms improve our learner-centered approach by creating an engaging environment. The department also has state-of-the-art ICT labs that are furnished with the necessary softwares. We aim to support our students' growth in critical thinking, creativity, and flexibility in accordance with the objectives of the HEC academic policies so that they are equipped to thrive in a world that is changing quickly. Additionally, the primary mission of the Department of English is closely related to that of RLKU as a whole, in addition to reflecting the distinctive character of our discipline and our adherence to English language and literature. Our attempts to maintain a low student-teacher ratio and give our students the chance to engage directly with subject-matter experts show our commitment to delivering a top-notch education. We believe that our training will assist our students become proficient readers, writers, and thinkers by providing them with the knowledge they need in the areas of English language and literature.

Objectives of the Department of English:
The objectives of the Department of English Language and Literature are to produce such graduates who possess:1) The reading comprehension to critically analyze literature from various genres, cultures, and eras; the ability to communicate clearly and comprehensively both in writing and orally.
2) Research skills that allow them to broaden their own linguistic and literary readings and understanding of language from a variety of perspectives.
3) Appropriate knowledge of pertinent fields within the discipline including literary theory, history, and criticism.
4) Apt knowledge of the history of English language and literature for appreciation and enjoyment of English language and literature.
5) Linguistic and literary knowledge and skills which they may use in their professional life to advance as global citizens and represent as champions of RLKU in a befitting manner.
To achieve these objectives, we use a range of specialized pedagogical and andragogical techniques, including seminars, small-group discussions, writing competitions for analytical and other types of essays, professional and creative writing competitions, and theater workshops to learn about the dramatic field, etc.
