Prof. Dr. Mubashar Nadeem, currently Head of the Department of English Language and Literature Rashid Latif Khan University Lahore, holds a PhD degree in English (Applied Linguistics) and received advanced training in faculty development from Plymouth State University (New Hampshire) USA, University Technology Malaysia and The University of the East (The Philippines). . Dr. Nadeem has over thirty years of experience teaching English at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He is a thorough and enthusiastic researcher who has delivered papers at national and international conferences on a range of education-related subjects and published about 77 peer-reviewed national and international research publications. In recognition of his contributions as a teacher, the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan conferred upon him "The Best University Teacher Award" in July 2011. He worked closely with HEC to implement all faculty training programs sponsored by NAHE, PCEPT, TESP, IOT, etc. In his capacity as Director Training Punjab Higher Education Commission, he collaborated with HED, Govt of the Punjab to establish the first ever PHEC Staff Development Academy (under Faculty Pedagogical Skill Program) and designed, prepared, and executed three mega training programs in addition to short-term training courses for management and faculty of public sector colleges and universities. Dr. Nadeem is also well-known for his contributions to the faculty development initiatives in the Punjab province, as he served on committees that planned and implemented training programs for college and university faculty and management in the Province of the Punjab. Before joining Rashid Latif Khan University Lahore, he served as Director Division of Arts & Social Sciences, Director Research, Director Student Affairs, Chairperson Department of English and Registrar of a public sector University of the Province.
