Dr. Muhammad Tahir Mustafa is a distinguished Islamic scholar, academician, researcher, and renowned media personality, widely recognized for his pioneering contributions to Quranic studies. His most remarkable scholarly achievement is the groundbreaking translation of the Holy Quran into Urdu using completely dotless words — a historic and unprecedented accomplishment that has secured him a unique place in contemporary Islamic scholarship. Following the completion of this monumental dotless translation, Dr. Tahir Mustafa recently accomplished another significant milestone by producing a regular Urdu translation of the Holy Quran with dotted words, specifically designed for ease of understanding by common readers. Both of his translations have been formally published and second Translation is readily available in the market, receiving appreciation from scholars and the general public alike. Dr.Tahir Mustafa has earned his Ph.D. in Quran & Sunnah from the University of Karachi in 2007 and has since built an illustrious academic career spanning over sixteen years. He has served with distinction as Professor, Director of the Seerat Chair, and Chairman of the Department of Islamic Thought and Civilization at the University of Management and Technology, Lahore, and currentely, he is serving Rashid Latif khan University Lahore as Professor and Head, Department of Religious Studies and General Subjects. An inspiring mentor and accomplished supervisor, Dr. Muhammad Tahir Mustafa has supervised 14 Ph.D. scholars and more than 500 M.Phil. researchers. His academic contributions include more than 40 research papers published in HEC-recognized “Y” category journals, along with more than 12 authored books in the field of Islamic studies, significantly enriching contemporary religious scholarship. Beyond academia, Dr. Tahir Mustafa is a respected and influential presence in Pakistani electronic media. He has anchored and appeared in religious and intellectual programs on leading television channels including PTV, GEO TV, ARY QTV, and Public News TV. Currently, his programs “Sada-e-Quran” and “Ittehad-e-Ummat” are regularly broadcast on Public News TV and ARY QTV, earning him widespread recognition as a balanced scholar and articulate voice of Islamic thought.
