In line with the HEC Undergraduate Education Policy 2023, the 4-year Bachelor of Studies in English (Literature) program provides a comprehensive understanding of English literature in historical, philosophical, and contemporary contexts. Students engage with classical, Elizabethan, 18th & 19th-century, modern, postcolonial, and contemporary literary movements across poetry, drama, fiction, and non-fiction prose. The curriculum fosters critical thinking, textual analysis, and cultural awareness while incorporating interdisciplinary approaches, feminist critique, South Asian literature, and digital humanities.

Objectives of the Program:

The objectives of the Bachelor of Studies in English (Literature) program are to enable students to:

3) Decipher narrative codes and literary structures across genres and epochs;
4) Write extensive descriptive and analytical literary manuscripts;
